that sort of animalistic behaviour is not something that pashto or dance should be associated with. that has nothing to do with pashto. ****ing druggies, running around in circles.

All I see is a bunch of drug addicts and bad music.
There are people today who think that admitting God’s absolute greatness decreases the value and importance of humans in the creation, as if God and mankind are rivals competing in greatness and power. Meanwhile I feel that whenever our perception of God’s greatness increases, with it we become greater, because we are the creation of a great God.

o i understand the extremes of pashtun society alright. sometimes getting caught in a moment is worse than being on drugs. as a matter of fact, most crimes of passion are committed by those who are in such states.

A little disappointing though wouldn't you say? I've seen the older generation of Wazir dance and like one old one said, they used to dance like "lightning." I know Waziraano travel back and forth to Bannu (who knows maybe they are not Wazir). But with the last generation of men it was also more organized and more artistic. They had the dol man, the circle was organized, the dancers did the attan in unison. This is sort of an artistic devolution.

very disappointing true. these are not wazire but the local people of bannu and honestly the bangra culture is prominent in bannu too like the rest of KP.
attan is an art if it does not come natural to you then mastering it need considerable amount of patience, time, passion and most importantly attan company.
Wazire are good performer but if you are looking for master performer, they comes form the makeen, kanigurum side. the mehsud.

Lol how dare you assume this to be wazirwola attan. Things are same in waziristan as were 100 years ago. The charsis in this video are probably Bannuchis.

Note: Unlike Waziristan's ghru wazir, the Bannu's wazirs , for instance of Domail, Azeem kalay etc can not dance the majestic attan. Also Bannuchis do not have their Attan style unlike their neighbors Wazirs, Marwats and Khattaks.

Have you ever seen Pashtun men of Peshawer valley (charsadda, mardan etc) dancing? They dance in feminine style (like those performers you see beside Nazia Iqbal), shake butts to one side like women etc. Your ANP-walas, whenever they celebrate, perform in that zanani manner. Moreover the vulgar and class-less mujras of damay is promted by ANP with name of Pashtun culture. These boys swirling around high on chars , can hardly be called Mujra or bhangra

Attan is in the pashtun blood and every pashtun can do it but it require practice.

I agree with you,our wazir living in Waziristan has more exposure to attan compared to those living in bannu or else where in Pakistan. In short those having lived in villages and tribal structure has more exposure to attan.

Videos of baka khel wazir attan are on youtube, watch them.

Watch the uet bannu attan video,we will practice it for my brother wedding this summer.
