Where do Pukhtuns call themselves Pashtuns?

Just wondering as I've always referred to myself as a Pakhtun. Does anyone know (or have a map of) where the diving line is/ what areas people start calling themselves Pashtun instead of Pakhtun.

I use both interchangeably. mainly because people outside of the region don't like it when I spit in their eye saying "Pakhtun"

I would say mainly southern and western pashtuns from places like kandahar, helmand, quetta pishin, zhob etc, so mostly who speak the softer Shin dialect of Pashto. I think wazirs and maseed say Pashtin.
We pronounce it neither as shin or khin but the way it is written Hhin, so that would be Pahhtun.
