Afghsnistan is one thing and Pashtunistan another thing. Afghanistan of past was Pashtunistan+Persian speaking West and North. Afghanistan of today is Pashtun parts of the East and South minus Pashtun parts of Pakistan and the almost 50 % of non Pashtun parts.
A typical pure Pashtunistan never existed and will never exist because Afghanistan will never abandon its non Pashtun parts and Paksitan will never let go its Pashtun parts. And I do not see any movement among Pashtuns for such a state called Pashtunistan.

Pashtunistan never existed, that's true cause any Pashtunistan that ever was had non-Pashtun lands a part of it, alot of non-Pashtun lands.Originally posted by Badlun View PostAfghsnistan is one thing and Pashtunistan another thing. naw man. Afghanistan has it's borders today because of Russia and British empire.
I man, now that USSR is down, you think Northern Afghanistan would want to break up and unite with the Turks and possible Iran?
and Pakistan's worry comes with India. NWFP and Balochistan is what keeps Pakistan from being absorbed by India....
This is truley a game we are playing called Risk

I do not see any movement in Northern or Western Afghansitan to break away and join their Turks or Iranian brothers. They are more Afghans than Pashtuns themselves.
The same happens in Paksitan. I do not see any strong or even weaker movement of Pashtuns to break away from Paksitan and join their Afghan brothers. Ultra Pashtun nationalists kike Achakzai and Asfandyar take oath on the constitution of Pakistan.

North and West will never break away from Afghanistan because these people are already proud afghans and even if it did, what would happen to the many Pashtuns there? they will not just leave their land and move.Originally posted by kanishka View PostPashtunistan never existed, that's true cause any Pashtunistan that ever was had non-Pashtun lands a part of it, alot of non-Pashtun lands.

And Badlun is correct here sadly, many Pashtuns in Pakistan have abanonded the dreams of Pashtunistan and already proud pakis. The only hope for such a diligence is the Awami party but sadly they do not have many supporters."Revenge is a dish best served cold".
