I don't listen to this [negative] type of music any more but I must educate others about the old world origins of this "American" ghetto culture.
We must remember that all Brown/Black people are the same so seeing similarities between our cultures should not be as shocking as it appears.
1) Smoking blunts
A blunt is a cigar which has been emptied of tobacco and re-filled with cannabis. The origins of this act lie in the Cheroots and Beedis of India, the Siyar smoked by the Mayans and finally, the kretek of Indonesia. These are filled with cannabis like normal cigarettes in Afghanistan or Pakistan.
2) Rapping
Talking in rhyming rhythm over a [drum] beat is a very ancient form of music and can be observed in nearly every African/Asian culture, for example let's look at the Pashto "Lughat" which is a poetry contest in which the lyrics are freestyled on the spot, just like a rap battle.
3) Drums
The drum is the most important musical instrument and without drums, there would be no music at all. I'm sure most Pashtuns and African-Americans will agree on this whereas White people would say guitar.
4) **** the police
Where do you think this attitude comes from? Tribes like Afridi who don't give a **** about the law and smuggle guns and drugs like its legal.
More to come...
