  • Improved Healthcare in Afghanistan

Healthcare services have improved considerably for women and children in Afghanistan in the past decade, when only 9 percent had access to quality healthcare. As a result of U.S. assistance and collaboration with the Afghan government, since 2003, trained midwives have tripled decreasing infant mortality by 53 percent and child mortality by 62 percent. Furthermore, USAID funds have provided training for physicians, nurses, community health workers, as well as improved accessibility to medical staff in difficult-to-reach communities. At present more than 57 percent of the population has access to basic healthcare. Would you agree that in the past decade Afghanistan’s health sector has made significant progress as a result of US - Afghan partnership and cooperation?

When will you provide better healthcare services for people in the United States? I'm a U.S. National and even with Obamacare things are awful. Please respond.
