  • Anyone knows about job/support opportunity in Afghanistan?

    Hi there,

Where can I work/support in Afghanistan? For instance, a place/organisation/institution in which I can be of a help and support the Afghans in any way. I would like to support Afghanistan in anyway I can, even for a short time.

Thanks in advance and good days.

if you really want to help afg dont work for such kind organisations like ngo or centcom
you dont even need to go to afg!
it depends in which country you are living in, afghans are everywhere, you can give them free lessons like teaching english or the language of the country you living in and other subjects, you can help them to integrate easily = show how some organisatiosn are working and help them with it etc.

Hi there. There are almost zero Afghans here. I prefer to stay and Live in Afghanistan (emphasised, bolded, underlined, dish bash bosh).....
I don't seek money. I love Afghanistan and therefore I prefer to dedicate my efforts and time there.

      Thanks and wonderful days.

What's up? You've asked similar things before. If I remember correctly, you asked everyone how you could join the ANA (lol). I don't think most users on here would be able to help you with that.

This time, you're not even really asking a question. Right now, it seems like you're bored and you just want to go on an adventure. Afghanistan isn't some playground for foreigners to live out their fantasies. This isn't the '80s.

But if you're genuinely interested in helping out, you'd need to be more specific. What are your skills? What can you do? Are you a doctor, engineer, teacher, journalist, or social worker? Right now, all I see is that you want to help people in Afghanistan, but how? If you have nothing to offer other than your good intentions, you'll most probably be a liability on the people there.

What? If you really want help, you need to stop being so vague.

The army or police will not hire you as a scout. They have locals who are trained, and can understand the terrain, and speak the language, who are probably much better at performing reconnaissance than you. Even if you were the best at this, the security forces do not accept foreign recruits anyway.

Regarding your language skills, what can you speak?

your best guess would be software engineer, IT, or something related to Information systems.

If you certifications or diploma in computers related stuff, or a degree in computer science, engineering, math or anything like that...

~Looked up the job postings in Pakistan online. Turned out there were 500 positions in software and web development and 50 Engineering positions....
So 500 Software and Web Engineers vs 50 Professional Engineers (like Mechanical, Civil, etc.)
Your other chance is Business or accounting but anything related to computer science is your best chance!

I prefer teaching children my friend. Software's irksome...
By the way I'm not 'bored'. Next month I'm going to China to live in China for one year, I'm going to teach and represent. And I want to live in Thailand in the end. But I'd like to work in Afghanistan too. I don't want to add burdence or to be a labial guy on the comnunity. But 6/3 months of work/communial support shall be enough.

                  Good days

tell me valujra, why should i waste an opportunity that can change some afghan youth's life and future by pointing out an available job position to you instead of someone who actually deserves it??
no one wanted to see afghans or afghanistan except for now that there are tons of job opportunities. all of a sudden you all have this sudden desire for wanting to contribute. thanks but no thanks. afghans and afghanistan need to start depending on it's own people to build and develop it's economy, not opportunists who will run off when things get rough..

however, if you have a talent or skill of some sort that you want to trade off or educate afghan youth on, feel free to advertise it here.. we will find you something suitable under a temporary contract or something. you will have to impress people for that opportunity. you can't just take us for a charity case because you are bored with your life and you want to do something different..that is not good enough.

In this global village , it is not rare that some one from one country works in another country. So your idea is workable. Afghanistan has a lot of NGOs. You can very easily find a job there. You can also join UN to work in Afghanistan. Just go for on line search.

Valujira, if it happens that one day you will teach Afghan children, keep in mind that it will be something completely different than for example teaching English to children in Europe. Something that will go beyond your previous teaching experience (if you have any).

Are you saying that Afghan kids are nefarious little dwarfs? I personally thinks it's not true, I mean everyone got talent. Kids are a sponge. They follow your example rather than your words.
I'm Muslim too, I guessI'm gonna teach them Quran stuff.

                          Thanks for the answers.

No, I didn't mean any of what you wrote.
I teach few Afghan kids (in my country; they are refuges from Afghanistan) and I must admit that so far it is my best work- related experience. And the most demanding. Kids are simply super. Intelligent, smart, quick learners. In Afg they were going to school, some of them speak sufficient English. Here when they started going to school (without knowledge of my language - another story) and I started helping them, I faced another reality. They didn't hear many terms (forget their meanings), like gravity, globe, what was the shape of Earth (even in their languages - I speak Pashto and Dari), first time saw stave and music notes and many other things which are even superficially known to children at their age here. So they go to school every day and in the afternoon I teach them everything what was at school once again. Work with them is like discovering new Worlds for me. Amazing job.
