An Afghan National Police officer has saved thousands of lives by defusing more than 6000 mines and IEDs in Helmand province. After completion of his training, and since the beginning of his duty, Officer Abdul Ghafoor has saved the lives of thousands of his countrymen. This is another great example of training, courage, and skills Afghan forces are developing to fight the enemy. Clearly Afghan forces have made significant progress in their ability to defend the country against the enemy.
