As everyone knows, Gaza is being bombed.
At the same time, another place is being and has been bombed for the past few years. That place is in Pakistan and it is comprised of areas inhabited by the Pashtun people.
I am disgusted how few people (by that I mean Muslims and even Pakistanis too) know or even care about the current situation in F.A.T.A and the hardships the I.D.P.s are having to face.
Every one turns a blind eye towards the people of F.A.T.A. and especially those from Waziristan, all the while these same people constantly cry about the "so-called" genocide on Palestinians.
Is it because the Palestinians are Arabs and hence, by default, rich?
Or is it because the jaahil anparr Pathans are of no use to anyone?
What is the reason why everyone ignores the problem in Pakistan, including Pakistanis themselves?
I was shocked how many Pakistanis didn't even know what was going on in their own country while they criticize the Israeli government online.
Today on Facebook, I wrote the following status:
"ATTENTION ALL PAKISTANI PEOPLE ON HERE!
I am sick and tired of y'all bitching about Palestine. The exact same thing has been happening in your country PAKISTAN for years and your army is still at it, so do something about that first and then think about some other country you have no connection to. Charity starts at home."
Obviously this doesn't mean that the Gaza bombing is a joke, all I'm saying is that solve your own problems first instead of trying to solve other's problems.
Are the Waziristani I.D.P.s not as Muslim as the Palestinians? Why should our own I.D.P.s be ignored while we shed tears for a random country we have no relation with. Let the Arabs fix Palestine. Pashtuns fix Pashtunistan.
I am thinking of doing something for the I.D.P.s. Maybe with the help of a few people, I will rent a house for a family or several families (depending on funds) to live in temporarily in Peshawar or somewhere safer like Rawalpindi or Abbotabad because any help is better than none.
I invite you all to help me help your countrymen.
Camello.
