  • What is the "ego"?

The ego is the sum of all the memories that a person has accumulated since childhood.

Memories are matter, and they reside in the brain in some form, that is why a head trauma can cause amnesia, which proves the physical existence of memory. In other words, memories are dead, they have no life of their own, it is the consciousness that makes them feel alive, but otherwise memories are dead matter.

By that logic, if memories are dead matter and ego is the sum of memories, then it follows that ego is dead matter.

Now you know why you should not rely on your ego.

Everything that you know and believe is dead matter. Unless you see the fact of that, you're a slave to the dead matter, which is your ego.

One cannot love without being free from the ego. Because love is not a dead thing, so ego cannot love, once the ego is no longer there, there is love.

What we know popularly as love, is complete bs. Love is beyond the ego and thinking, it overrides thinking, in fact ego and thinking are its main enemy.

You can only be sure that you have attained love when love finds you and not the other way round.
