The entry level to get into army in afghanistan was grade 6 graduate. almost all army officers were Pushtun because of that grade 6 thing. secondly there was no other career option for men from countryside other than army.

some of these officers were sent to russia for training and there they were flipped to communism. they were told if they bring down the king they will get power, that is all they needed to know. they did not know or care for marxism. they lacked the mental capacity for any ideological thinking. all they care for was power and status.

there is no pashtu translation of das capital. the dari das kapital is beyond the understanding of most educated dari speakers.

almost all of the khalqee officers were semi-educated. taraki was semi-educated that is why he was called kharaki meaning like a donkey.

the same way taliban are almost completely illitrate that si why they don't know crap about islam and quran. they just know that with guns and terror they can get power.

the only thing that pashtuns know is power because they know they have no other ability to bring them power. that is why they sell the country to anyone who promises them power. list all the great watanfrosh and everyone of them is pashtun.

You cannot blame 70 millions of Pashtuns for few thousands of Taliban/Wahabis/Salafis and communists. Pashtuns are/were not the only communists at that time. Majority of the Parchamis were non Pashtuns. Mahmood Ghaznavi and Saljuks like non Pashtuns have also destroyed the world. When you are in power, troubles always accompany it. Non Pashtuns now are pacifists because they have lost power.

The biggest achievement of Pashtuns is the state of Afghanistan, founded by a Pashtun Ahmad Shah Baba and run till date by Pashtuns. Pashtuns could keep the state one unit till today. Others would have bifurcated it in many pieces. Pashtuns at the cost of their own language and culture, had saved Afghanistan and have not converted it into Pashtunistan.

Pashtuns have culture, history, traditions, folklore, literature and identity. They come from one racial stock. each Pashtun is like cousin of the other Pashtun. This homogeneity is very rare in other ethnicities. The personality of Pashtun is always towering. You can differentiate a true Pashtun in thousands. Its a pure breed with superb genealogy and sociology. Pashtuns are usually polite, largehearted, accommodative, tolerant and progressive if not manipulated by Mullahs.

Their hospitality and enthusiasm bring them problems like Osama and Taliban but in intrinsic Pashtun culture and psyche hujra and jumat are separate(secularism.) Having singers like Bakhzamina and Qamargula is a pride not shame. Do you think non Pashtuns do not have female singers?

He doesn't speak Pashto. He's from one of those assimilated Pashtun people that settled in the Indian subcontinent. I don't know about considering assimilated Pashtuns as Pashtuns.
