  • Women's Role in new Afghan government

As the election process is ongoing and a new President is soon to be announced, civil society activists are busy emphasizing the importance of women’s participation in the economic, social, cultural, and political spheres of the soon to be newly elected Afghan government. Ensuring women’s inclusion in the political process is yet another step forward toward progress. As United Nations Special Representative, Jan Kubis, said, “Women’s participation in national decision-making not only strengthens the representative nature of government institutions but is central to improved development and economic indicators.”

Do you agree that equitable participation of women in politics and government is essential to building and sustaining democracy?

According to Abdullah women don't have any roll in the future of Afghanistan, Ashraf Ghani was the only one who was pro integration of the women.
