For example in order to cry some hormone is released if sentimentality makes one cry it means hormones are at work.

One cries in a tragedy and also when one listens to a sad song. To me that is messed up and by that extension there cannot be love without sentimentality.
    Sentimentality is hormonal?

Its a physical response and often includes a certain state of feeling and even crying. But crying in a sentimental mood is not the same as crying in sorrow. Crying in sentimentality is a pleasure and women enjoy crying in sentimentality. Love as we're made to believe by literature as you say cannot be hormones that aim for procreation.

        what is wrong with that??
nothing wrong with that. Its just that people should not waste their time confusing their hormonal response with some divine nonsense.

As you say sentimentality and love are hormonal and body's natural response for procreation, are you also willing to say that by your logic post-menopause women don't feel sentimental and don't fall in love due to lack of hormones and reproductive apparatus?

Those behavioral types that you call sentimentality unlike what traditionally called love could be learned, but I'm guessing, isn't it?

Psychological need for love can be so strong that it overrides the hormone system.

For example when A says to B that I love you, B goes to C and D and says that A loves me and by doing so B gets ego boost and her/his status is elevated in front of C and D.

Romantic love is, 'love me so I can feel better about myself and feel valued and feel the center of attention among my loveless friends'.

For guys its all about competition and similarly its all about 'winning and losing'. For instance your friend makes you look like a sissy so what you do, you go after his girlfriend and seduce her by playing the lil-boy and then once you got what you wanted you run away and laugh and giggle and take pride in your lil victory.

              Love is bullsh1t.

Sentimentality could be learned but crying is instinctual.

My post was not amusing, the one before Wing Wing Wing. Secondly I don't know what love is and no one does. Love like God and other issues of belief is just illusions to make this pointless and absurd life seem sort of like as if it makes sense. I'm an existentialist for me existence comes before essence.

If you did not exist there would be no essence, so?

Existence before essence is a quote by Sartre he was a french philosopher and his philosophy is called existentialism, a fashionable philosophy after WWII. I used to read about existentialism way back.

Now i read about new age stuff like The Alchemist.

Why would you call yourself an existentialist? If you're into new age stuff...
