Why are women obsessed with security? From physical security to emotional security to financial security to all sorts of security?

Isn't an obsession with security a sort of belief in the future, a future that does not exist, because anyone can die at any moment.

Physical weakness makes sense, but what is emotional weakness... Is it the same as flirting with your boyfriends friend because your emotions are too weak and you can't help it?
