I have noticed some guys here have some misunderstanding about Toramana the great Hapthalite Emperor and ancestor of both Pashtuns and Parachas. He was one of earlier emperors of Afghanistan and northern India (the artificial country Pakistan didn't exist in history ever and also at that time) and ruled a vast land from Iran to Malwa in India. Some of his descendants later settled in Panjsher Valley and the surrounding region and were called Perachis (developed Perachi language) and some settled near Ghani and Kandahar becoming influential Pashtun tribes. Toramana is in my direct ancestral line that is why my name is Toramana. To know more about him, read the article below.

Ali Yamani is considered to be the progenitor of the Paracha tribe of Pakistan. Ali Yamani was a man of Yemeni descent and lived in Medina, at that time known as Yathrib. Some assume that he belonged to the tribe of Al-Ansar, which was very helpful to the Islamic prophet Muhammad when he arrived at Medina with the rest of his followers.
Ali Yamani, was responsible for the preparation of Muhammad's seating area. Later, after his extended family began to participate in this task, they became known as Ferashas. His family promised to travel wherever the descendants of Mohammad went, hence they migrated into Iran, Afghanistan, and spread throughout South Asia.
Prachya are generally devout Muslims today. An Arab connection is sacred to them. According to this theory, they are the descendents of Aziz Yemeni, a companion of Muhammad. Hazrat Aziz used to act as “Farash” to Muhammad. Farash in Arabic means “one who spreads a carpet, an attendant, a valet etc. etc.” Hazrat Aziz Yemeni’s descendents were known as “Farasha” after him. During the Arab conquest of Persia (640-644 AD), Abul Aas, the son of Hazrat Aziz Yemeni, was commanding the Yemeni contingent. After the conquest, he settled down in Persia and married a Persian Princess. The Persians transcribed his surname “Farasha” into “Paracha” according to the usage of their own language. parachas are very business minded people, and very successful in their life most of them, they have served Pashtun when they busy in fighting. parachas took care of pashtun properties. they were encouraged to do businesses. most of the parachas moved to big cities owned properties, they consider themselves pashtun and very proud of their pashto language. they are no less pashtun but better pashtun those paki pathans. have a great respect for them.Comment

In Reality paracha are probably the saraiki people.because i doubt Punjabis will want to associate themselves with them

paracha are loyal to pashtuns and pashto. I am talking about the one living among pashtuns, suffering alongside pashtuns. they are talented no doubts. They are termed as amsaya(Hamsaya) by pashtuns and sorry i have nver seen them at any high post let alone business.The best Business they do is to open a naswar coka.In reality they are saraiki People.just google them
