It says she is African, so can any of you guys confirm if this is true at all? It sounds highly unbelievable to me because the only pakistanis of african origin are from markan and that is in balochistan. She looks like a dark skinned Pashtun to me and a kuchi by the way she looks.

she's not a Jat or African, she's a Kuchi from Afghanistan her family comes from Ghazni. Kuchis are often dark because they spend most of their life in the Sun. There are tons of Kuchis who look like her in Afghanistan, has nothing to do with being African, just hot dry climate.

This is an Afghan Kuchi woman.

        A Kuchi Man

        Kuchi family

Kuchis are the original Pashtuns, so the lighter skinned Pashtuns are actually Pashtunized Tajiks like Kushan Prince.

No developing state in the world will pay for a singer.

Pakistan is a poor country and for it their should be no difference between a singer and a common poor.at the end of the day both are humans

                          ....

                          1. To me if I saw him walking down the street in normal clothes in London, I would assume he's "black" or east African of some sort (Ethiopian/Somali etc).

When I saw the following picture, for a nano-second I thought it was a picture of Barack Obama superimposed on Zarsanga, and then obviously l looked properly and saw it was her.

Also the next picture, if someone showed me and asked me if the person was a: South Asian b: Iranic/south west Asian c: African (maybe east African) I would have gone for c:

I'm not saying that the Wikipedia article you quoted which states she has African ancestry is definitely correct, but I wouldn't be surprised if it is.

The children however in the picture above (with her husband) whoever they are (maybe her children) do not look in any way African at all and look Indic (Dravidian influence).

I agree with you! In the first picture he also reminded me of an east african man while his kids look more south asian. Its kind of hard to tell because he's in typical afghan clothing but if he was dressed in western clothing i would say he could pass south asian for a jatt maybe.
