Well, not all were 19th century americans, therefore look that this style isn't something new or limited to Muslims.

Well, technically, Tjanaparh, none of the pictures you posted are prophetic approved.

not an islamic beard because cheeks are shaved

not an islamic beard because it is trimmed
The Beard according to the Great Imams of Jurisprudence
Hanafi
Imam Muhammed (R.A.) writes in his book "Kitabul Aathaar" where he relates from Imam Abu Hanifa (R.A.) who relates from Hadhrat Haytham (R.A.) who relates from Ibn Umar (R.A.) that he (Ibn Umar) used to hold his beard in his hand and cut off which was longer. Imam Muhammed (R.A.) says that this is what we follow and this was the decision of Imam Abu Hanifa. Therefore, according to Hanafies, to shorten the beard less than a FIST LENGTH is HARAAM and on this is IJMA (concensus of opinion).
not an islamic beard because the shape is not natural : sides are more trimmed

not an islamic beard because cheeks are shaved

not an islamic beard because of the shape in the end of the beard which is similar to jewish beards

this is an islamic beard, depends if he's young or if he's trimmed
but I doubt he wore this beard because of religious reasons
anyways, islam has a unique beard shape

Religion is for piety or Taqwa. If beard or facial hair has nothing to do with piety or knowledge then why Prophet of a religion will emphasize on having beard or not having mustache.Originally posted by کیش View Postplease show me where you got the idea that having a beard make you piety or knowledgeable. it is just a sign of international brotherhood. it also isn't required to have a beard, but if you want to grow one, that is how it is done.
It means those who have beards are members of international brotherhood and clean shaved are out of it?
If beard is not required then why you have beards mentioned in hadith as a difference of Kufr and Islam. It means the hadiths are false. If true then all Muslims must have Islamic beards otherwise they are kafir or at least resembling kaafirs.

For a man who claims to use logic, you don't seem to use any of it.Originally posted by Badlun View PostReligion is for piety or Taqwa. If beard or facial hair has nothing to do with piety or knowledge then why Prophet of a religion will emphasize on having beard or not having mustache.

No it doesn't mean those who dont' have a beard is out of the brotherhood. come on man, how old are you 13? It means for those who wan't their brotherhood known
Is the hadith false because of your emotional bias against muslims, for your European imperial masters? all your views correlates with those of islamophobes.
Out of the around 10,000 hadiths can you quote one that said if you don't have a beard with a trimmed moustache you are automatically a Kafir, or resemble one?
For once in your life use your brain, you know that muscle in your head.

I havent seen that many solid moustaches among afghans although yes the khalqiyan and parcham used to rock them. Ive seen many of these moustaches among the pashtuns in pakistan though. They have a sense of pride associated with their moustaches. Nevertheles, they can be intimidating but rather grow out a beard myself.

Wow, I'm learning new things already! Just in this post alone I've discovered that mustaches are "masculine" and that this Wyatt Earp retard is "legendary". Thanks a lot Khushal. I must admit that prior to this post I was living in ignorance. I used to think that mustaches were relegated to child molesters, socially awkward creeps and low IQ men with a pitiful thirst for power and control (i.e. law enforcement) but now I know better.Originally posted by khushal View PostMasculinity.
Over there a man looks out of place if he has no hair on his face. Back in the days, even in America a mustache was considered masculine, they used to grow barbell mustaches.

this is the legendary US marshal wyatt earp.

This guy should be imported to the US and somehow featured in the remake of Twisted Sister's We're Not Gonna Take It music video.

he didn't have a clean beard, he just couldn't grow more than that.Originally posted by Kushan Prince View PostI like massoud's beard. Clean, simple and not too long.
There are people today who think that admitting God’s absolute greatness decreases the value and importance of humans in the creation, as if God and mankind are rivals competing in greatness and power. Meanwhile I feel that whenever our perception of God’s greatness increases, with it we become greater, because we are the creation of a great God.

Question: Do you think that perhaps when the Prophet said to trim the mustache that he could have possibly intended for his followers to adopt a style akin to this...

or maybe this...

Because he obviously did not intend his followers to walk around sporting something like this (although I'm sure they would have, had they been allowed)...
