Muslims and mustache

What's wrong with Muslims and their obsession with mustaches? Persians, Pashtuns, Saudis, Arabs etc. everyone shaves the beard and let the mustache grow. It seriously looks like a slug... Either shave all of it or shave non of it. I mean at least with the beard it looks a bit descend, but one big mustache without a beard looks so bad... Is it a trend or something? Maybe it got some special message... somebody tell me.

Masculinity.

Over there a man looks out of place if he has no hair on his face. Back in the days, even in America a mustache was considered masculine, they used to grow barbell mustaches.

Beard look by far more masculine, so why shave that then?

Doesn't matter what kind of mustache it is, all of them looks equally bad. I shave the mustache and let the beard grow. It looks better is also more hygiene.

There is a Bukhari or Muslim Hadith which stated that The Prophet said "Kafirs shave their beards and grow their moustaches. Muslims should do the opposite and shave their moustaches and grow the beard."

Very few Afghans I know have a mustache. They're all either clean shaven and the more pious ones grow out beards. However, I've noticed that those who were once Khalqis and Parchamis have mustaches. It's sort of their symbol and I can tell that someone is a Khalqi as soon as I see their face. I have a very good Khalqi radar.

there is no reason to have just a mustache if you are older than 17. i rock a beard with a trimmed mustache myself.

Its a reaction to colonialism. Stalin was the main guy that stood to western dominance and all these guys like taraki, najib, saddam, the first asad etc sported the mustache.
