Iranian farsi has more than 70% of arabic. old versions are Tajiki and Dari.Originally posted by Esoteric 7 View PostIsn't Dari or Afghani Farsi the original pure Farsi compared to Irani?
I heard that all old Persian poets spoke the same way as Afghans and Afghans continue to speak old Persian whereas Iranians developed a new language with Arabic and Azeri influence and European words which is now spoken in Iran and called Farsi or Iranian Persian.

Farsi will be easier for you to learn, but if I were you, I'd learn Arabic. Farsi is only spoken in three countries (Iran, Afghanistan, and Tajikistan), while Arabic is spoken in many.
Farsi is an Indo-European language so you'll have an easier time learning it, while Arabic is a Semitic language, and learning it will be harder. However, Arabic is the world's 5th largest language, and in the business world, as trade grows with the Middle East, people who know Arabic will have a better job at finding a job. So that's a plus too!
And also, you get to read all the literature and scientific work of famous Arab scholars in the language they were written in.
Ultimately, it's up to you. Do you like the sound of Farsi or Arabic more? Which language do you enjoy more?True wisdom comes to each of us when we realize how little we understand about life, ourselves, and the world around us. - Socrates

LoL, Farsi is the biggest girliest language ever. Guys who speak Farsi sound Gay as Shyt.
Since you already know the best language ever (English), also Pashto, and Urdu. the the other manliest language ever in the world (After English) is Qu'ranic Arabic.
Dari is also close to 60% Arabic as well. Pashto is also close to 40% Arabic too.Last edited by کیش; 03-26-2014, 07:14 PM.
