What if US never invaded Afghanistan to tople Taliban goverment, how would Afghanistan look like today?

Than Afghanistan would look like Yemen or something, still poor unstable but no major deaths or damage, I do think Kabul and some big cities would look good and living in them wouldn't be that bad.

i have another opinion about it. both (former soviet union) russia and usa should leave afghanistan alone. soviet union did not only good things to afghanistan. how much people were killed by soviet union? as i know the biggest prison in kabul was build by soviets.
i read once in a german book about afghanistan that some russian were killed, hacked and burnt by afghans because afghans were really pissed off. i try to find the book.
