The other day I walked on a frozen lake. It was a stupid risk but since falling under ice is one of the greatest fear in most people who live in cold climates, including me, I wanted to face that fear.
I saw this young couple walking on the frozen lake, jumping and basically showing the middle finger to death, which was not more than 10cm underneath them, one fall and its certain death because the ice is too thick for rescue and one cannot swim with winter coat, not to mention one cannot think after the initial shock of submerging in icy cold water.
So, I walked on the ice too and it was a strange feeling but I did feel better afterward.
