I agree with @DaZahrojam. that the dirt of my country is something I miss. It's fragrance. Even the clay of our tandoors affects the naan is such a way, that I could never replicate it in the US. Even If I dig out a tandoor with this soil it will never taste the same.

The one thing I miss the most is the Azaan on loudspeakers. The chill that I got when I heard Azaan and ran towards the masjid. Whether I was at University, or watching something on tv, I would ignore everything and start wuzuu. The feeling of praying namaz in Pakistan is so much more fulfilling than in the US.

    I miss this the most.

i don't miss anything about afghanistan. everyday i have lived in afghanistan, i was in fear of my life and the life people close to me. we had to live under constant rocket attacks, there was food shortage, fuel shortage, the schools later on closed because of rocket attacks

my dream in afghanistan was to get out and i was actually the force behind making my family eventually leave

as a member of the hindu minority we were always discriminated aginst and we were always in danger so i thank Ram for eventually getting us out of that sh1thole

vodkazai's writings about afghanistan is all nonsense, she was too dumb and young to see the reality,

I understand how you feel bro. Spend as much time as you can with her yara. When they are gone, it literally feels like the life in your body is taken out. You start to question why you were ever born.

I miss my mother every day. When I try to sleep at night, I keep replaying things that I remember in my mind.I don't cry anymore, but sometimes I get depressed for weeks.

I wish that she would come back and give me gaaliyaan or hit me.

vodkazai, in the vicious and poisonous world of sexually traumatized and repressed afghans girl, you're like an oasis of peace and tranquility

i need you because you're the water to my fire

It feels very empty. It has been a year since she passed away, and I did not even visit her kabar. Meri ummi cancer ki mareez thi. My family tells me that my father is always smelling her dupata and ends up crying. He is very alone without my mother. I don't even have the ghairat to come back to Pakistan to sit and speak with my father. We are both suffering. I don't even tell people that are my friends, but I feel good saying it online, where people don't know me.

Main sirif apko aarz kar sak tha hun ke aap apni ummi ke saat waqt guzarein. Sirif ek baar miltii hain yaar.
