back home we had a very good term for a narcissist, khud-parast
khud-parasti or ego-worship is basically all about the individual making their own self/ego a sort of god and worshiping it
so a narcissist begins to believe his/her own fantasies. for instance divine love, spirituality, evil spirits who're trying to mislead her, everyone is an enemy who only hurt her, its never her fault, whatever she does has a reason blah blah...
of course this is all nonsense, because the ego itself has created this illusion about itself, so what happens to the narcissist?
what happens to a narcissist is a shattering experience, because at the end of it all the narcissist is suddenly confronted with the her/himself. there was nothing more than that, no god, satan, divine love - it was her/himself all along
