  • once you're out, you're out

if you're an afghan girl and you decide to have a relationship outside of the afghan nation, you're out for good. you cannot come back. even if the guy is a muslim

this is one of those harsh codes of our country. even if you come back people are going to destroy you by never letting you forget that you're not one of them. so once you're out, you're out and even by trying to use an afghan guy to get back in, its not going to work. unless of course the afghan leaves all his family and everyone and goes with you

one of my relatives married a foreigner and she just left, and never came back because she knew she was out for good and i respect her for that.

We are still living in 16th century. Individual does not exist in our society. We live in hordes and tribes not as persons.

Nationalism is essentially one "big tribe"

why the same rule does not apply to afghan men?

for a simple reason, afghan men die for their country and their women and families. that is basically their job. with such responsibility comes privileges

i'm simply saying what every afghan already knows, but putting it in english with correct wording somehow makes it real
