lets say you're in a position to chose two paths. one is islamic, naive, idealistic and inexperienced

the second option is secular, cynical, pragmatic and experienced



if you select the first option its a simple selection. if you select the second option there is the added bonus of a bit more ego boost because you beat one or two rivals.

Depends on what type of a person is choosing! An egoistic person will go for the second path!

that is not actually true. you see, the selfish person would have gone with the islamic path because it was safe and easy. not to mention no extra emotional baggage and heartache

These are two different paths with two different goals. If your goal is material development, prosperity, excellent political system, great economy then you can only chose secularism .

For spiritual and moral pursuits your path is Islam/religion/mysticism/Sufism and your goal is paradise/pleasure of God not this world.

But the observation is stupendous because the path of secularism for a Muslim or Pashtun is very difficult. If I think like a wahabi or islamist , I will be welcomed everywhere but I will be opposed if I choose secularism.

Having no path is Buddhism and I love this approach. But if you lead then how can you lead without a path? Can you elaborate please. Both leaders and followers need a path usually.
