  • Words of Wisdom

    Assalamu'alaykum

Pretty simple. No debates, no arguments, no personal attacks. Just share some words of advice (not only limited to religion). I'll go first:

Acquire knowledge of the Deen according to your needs, either by asking the 'Ulama or by reading an authentic book.

always ask yourself why you do the things you do, why you say the things you say, and why you feel the things you feel.

        Beautiful!

Don't set you heart on things which belong to others.

Don't feel angry at a person who reveals your secrets, because the thing that made you get it off your chest in the first place, was the same thing that made them get it off their chest, therefore if you have a secret, then it will only remain a secret if your the only one that knows it.

            ^ Interesting

If someone rebukes you for your mistake or error, do not try to justify your action.

              ^That's very good advice.

"Bad habits are like soft warm bed; easy to get in to, but difficult to come out of."

This thread reminds me of one I once posted, which basically states great advice, as said by a righteous predecessor.

doing things for people that are not worth it, is like getting a blind man to be the judge of what colour looks good.

Guley, if you feel they run along the same line, feel free to merge them. I wanted to keep this one simple. No google chunks either.

Do not display laziness in executing any act of Ibaadah.

^Oh no, this thread is simpler. I wasn't suggesting that, but I thought seeing as though this is the place to give advice, then that thread has amazing suggestions on admirable qualities for an individual to have. =)

Anything that you don't like for yourself, don't prefer it for others.

While walking with your elders, do not walk in front of them.
