When are the insurgents going to stop killing innocent people in Afghanistan?
On the first day of Eid a bomb exploded in a graveyard in eastern Afghanistan and killed 14 members of a single family as they had gathered to mark the end of Ramadan and beginning of Eid celebrations. We strongly condemn this inhuman act and express our deepest condolences to the families who lost their loved ones. President Karzai also condemned this act and urged the Taliban to stop killing their fellow Afghans. Even the Chief of the Ulema Council of Afghanistan, Qeyamuddin Kashaf said that suicide attacks are illegitimate in the religion of Islam and condemned the attack with the strongest words emphasizing that assassination of Muslims and suicide attacks are prohibited in Islam. In addition, Afghanistan’s High Peace Council Chief, also condemning suicide attack, urged the Ulema Council of Afghanistan to assist in bringing peace and stability in the country.
The question is why are insurgents continuously target Muslims, women, and children causing death, insecurity, and instability in the country?
