Some have become anglicised.
They copy the incorrect pronunciation of خان as enunciated by native english speakers, who cannot get the خ sound as a consonant. Some, especially khans settled in the west go further and spell it as 'kahn' in the (unknowingly) jewish way, which is germanified Cohen, i suppose white aspirations.
