Anniversary is coming up May 29, our calendar. It will be the
560th anniversary this year !

the one who was made Greek Orthodox Patriarch after the Conquest by the wise Fatih. Gennadius was his name, very famous.

Both of them, byzantines and later Ottoman were one crueler than the other. In no difference to all the types of empires. How much lifes and entire nations they destroyed. One used one religion to kill around, one the other religion.
These were the two biggest outer enemies of my people, and the same global powers of their time as now USA.
Nothing changed, except methods, and I find it sad you people, who are oppressed by one empire find sympathy for another empire of the same kind.
