and

2) actual regrets


The first ones are only a defense mechanism used by your mind to punish you (because you feel guilty) for your past harmful choices

In the second case, you know there is no way out

I regret pretty much the entire span of age 17-24 but doubt anyone here would really understand the subculture I existed in back then... On another note, I'd like to think someday Hakim will look back on himself now and regret who or rather what, he invested himself in.
