Islamic is only beliefs, worship(the pillars of Islam) and morality. Nothing beyond that.

You cannot make every thing Islamic or unislamic. Otherwise internet is unislamic, pashtunforums is unislamic, name Kushan is unislamic, afghanistan is unislamic, pashtun is unislamic, computer is unislamic , having holiday on sunday is unislamic, going to schools is unislamic only islamic is what salafi wahabi tells you !

For God sake let us separate Islam as a religion and Arab culture. Arab culture and their festivals is not part of the religion of Islam otherwise we will lose all our cultural identities as we have lost under the Taliban controlled Pashtun areas.

You say that any celebration outside beliefs of Islam is haram. As far as I know beliefs of Islam are believing in one God, prophets, angels, Here after, Holy books. Here I do not see any belief asking us to celebrate this and not to celebrate that!

Nowroz if taken as new year festival then it does not become Zoroaster festival. Even we celebrate some thing from Zoroaster and enjoy it then whats wrong with it. Its not against the 5 pillars of Islam. Nowroz is just welcoming spring and sowing season and change of harsh winter into mild summer.

Islam is beliefs, kalma tayyiba, prayers, fasting, Zakat, hajj and its ethical injunctions. No compromise here but all other things are neither Islamic or non Islamic. You are free to do if you wish and if not then its not like a religious obligation.

It's from Solar Hijri calendar although that calendar is followed in only a few Muslim-majority regions like Afghanistan, Iran and Central Asia.

Nowruz is a very popular ancient traditional festival and it has nothing to do with religion. Here are some pictures on how people celebrate it.
