^ Agreed. Traditionally, in early Afghanistan it was the privelaged, urban Tajik women who wore burkas when outside. Whereas Pashtun women generally were not allowed to go out of their homes at all, not even to fetch water and those who could afford it would hire male servants for the job so that the females stay inside at all times.

Umm not they are not. Their called "cloaks". Pashtun men also wear this espiacily in the winter time.

Prince, this is a language issue. Hallo is from Russia, in Kavkaz (the Caucasus), many of these garments are also referred to as бурка or "burka". In English they are a type of cloak but among the tribes in Kavkaz, those long men's cloaks are referred to as a "burka".
