No offense but I kind of agree with him. What would your future husband think of you if he found out that you spent year after year doing pointless flirting online with men that are not related to you. I would completely understand if you had the intention of marrying him and wanted to get to know him or if you had some educational or work related need to communicate so much and freely with him.
