  • Bride price and Pathans

My question to readers is the "bride-price" tradition has any relation to Islam and teaching of prophet Muhammad pbuh?
I know the answer but this question is for people who take bride-price under which notion of Islamic Sharia?
I want to ask which "Islam version" other than Muhammad pbuh is being practiced?
Think people and be afraid of Allah Almighty and the day you will face alone HIM.

No. They use Islam as a pawn to engage in these things. Child brides or any other stuff like this is absolutely haram. It seems as the weakness of Pashtuns are that they associate everything with Islam on purpose to engage in something. This is a big Gunnah and really begihrat on their part.

i absolutely agree to you, they use Islam for their own desires, and they defame islam and in the eyes of people misinterpret it which puts those people off who want to study islam for possible conversion. moreover other religion people and our own educated people look down upon islam thinking its followers dont think and majority are blindly following without having proper knowledge.

A blonde haired blue eyed daughter is worth a million bucks :P

If she's a virgin, unlike White people in the west to let their daughters wear skimpy clothing and give them freedom to fork with other guys.

2::13. And when it is said to them (hypocrites): "Believe as the people (followers of Muhammad Peace be upon him , Al-Ansâr and Al-Muhajirûn) have believed," they say: "Shall we believe as the fools have believed?" Verily, they are the fools, but they know not.

2::17. Their likeness is as the likeness of one who kindled a fire; then, when it lighted all around him, Allâh took away their light and left them in darkness. (So) they could not see.

2::170. When it is said to them: "Follow what Allâh has sent down." They say: "Nay! We shall follow what we found our fathers following." (Would they do that!) Even though their fathers did not understand anything nor were they guided? [Quran Sura 2 verse 170]
