Taliban or not, this happened pre taliban and post taliban. Trying to use these trajedies and victims as tools for sympathy to keep foreign soldiers to keep fighting battles that is not theirs to fight is completely sick and cowardly.

uh yeah I heard petitions for military intervention for the sake of child brides all of this broadcast. Ironically the people who look for scapegoats when issues like child brides come up also deny Afghan women are raped as a result of forced marriages. I'll never understand why non-consentual sex is seen as ethically valid for Pashtuns.

^^^Your whole statement is a straw man.
every time she talks about a story of children being forced into marriage, she mentions "under the taliban" as though it did not happen before them or even today under US occupation. She is intentionally being manipulative by not mentioning the root cause of this.

The entire accusation that this woman is petitioning for foreign militaries to remain occupant in Afghanistan IS the straw man here.

She mentions the Taliban clearly because she LIVED under the Taliban and experienced things under the Taliban, that the Taliban government failed to protect women's welfare; which shoots holes in the theory that Taliban brought security for women. This is consistent with human rights groups reports.

Saying "as thought ...etc etc" is a Straw man, becuse she never onced claimed it didn't happen now or hasn't happened before. I think this is good she speaks out. It shows that Pashtun women don't want these things despite the propaganda of corrupt Pashtuns on this forum.

she never mentioned the root of the problem, she is misleading that this only happened under the taliban. It was a problem before them and after them presently under US occupation.

she alludes to Afghan culture and Afghan society; that IS the root of the problem.
