I was wondering if anyone knows what the English name is for Senzale, the small, date-shaped fruit that grows in eastern Afghanistan. In its dry form, it appears red in color. Could these be Jujuba/Chinese red dates? The Jujube tree grows in a similar climate as that found in many parts of Afghanistan and the fruit is cultivated in nearby North Pakistan near the Himilayan mountains as well.
