Are Pashtuns really white?

Apparently i've been influenced by this guy named Nima Khan Abdali, but to make it clear, several anthropologists in the past marked Pashtuns under the Mediterranean race, meaning that the majority of Pashtuns have gandumi skin, any color of eyes and black hair. Keep in mind that they called Pashtuns Afghan, and the term was changed, so before the durrand agreement or when Pakistani Pashtuns became Pakis, Pashtun only meant Afghan, excluding tajiks and Hazaras.


Compared to Punjabis, sure we may be significantly lighter, but it's clear that like 70% of Pashtuns, along with Tajiks are golden brown, beige, cinammon color, i asked an Afghan, and she said it was true for all Afghans (tajiks and Pashtuns). Only a large minority are considered white, and also really brown like desi people, a large minority. The Afghan lady said that technically Hazara people are whiter than the goldenbrown Tajiks and Pashtuns, though they have the mongolian mixture. Same go's for Uzbecks of Afghanistan, surely white but with the east asian mix. Infact, a racist called one of our fellow pashtuns "cinammon ****" :P

The Ismaili tajiks in Badakhshan are pretty fair skinned to me. Frick i hate it when people try to claim white looking Afghans are descendants of Alexander's Greek or Monkeydonian soldiers.

There are many colors associated with afghans/Pashtun
I've seen from really fair to ghanamrang to pitch black well not that black but here are really dark onse out there
So what's ur point?
Now every race has different color skin mixed in it

historically, pashtuns may have been considered invasive, warlike conquerers (hence similar to the filthy and godless europeans) but now times have changed.

pashtuns are in reality brown, with some yellow mixture. our skin colour ranges from light brown to dark brown. even though to a large extent we resisted colonization throughout history, sadly now in recent times afgans have been subdued and crushed and are now socio-economically "black".

This is something i had when talking with Pashtuns from Swat, they said our fate is mulatto in the future and that pashto is becoming a lost language. They made me look like a fool because they laughed at my ethnic nationalism while they support Pakistan.

Pashto is actually coming back more now than before. KP is now making manadatory pashto lessons up to grade 5. NWFP(Name Wanted For Provence) now has a name. You can now take pashto classes at American Universities. Its still weak though when you campare it to Farsi. If Pakistan falls though, Urdu would died out very quickly and Hindi and English will replace it. Urdu is not really a mother tongue like Farsi or Pashto is.
