        LOL, I'm sorry, I can't lie.

Okay, right I dont ever wanna live there, but I'd love to visit, (on your wedding).

So.. is that place in your closet or under your bed still available?

A place is my wardrobe is reserved for you, for when you come over to teach at Oxford. =)

LOL. Yeah!! I'd prefer the closet space, if I were you, though! Under the bed - not enough space lolllll.

On a serious note, I'd sleep on a dusty floor with nothing under me while I make sure you're sleeping on a comfy bed made just for queens/princesses!

Actually ... do you happen to have any connections with Oxford? I'm considering applying there and some other unis in the UK for this research I'm interested in. Details when we talk, but for now, if you know some good professors there, mind introducing me to them? (It'd be HEAVENLY if I could work under someone who does what I'm interested in, of course.) The applications require proposals for which you have best chances of getting accepted if you tell them you know exactly what you wanna do and with whom! So I need some contacts from theah ... Oxford would be fantastic, since I know it has a good Islamic Studies program.

Wow! You really coming over?! =D

I have more connections with Cambridge, and even then it's not too personal. We'll have go into further details when we talk, but lemme know which uni's you're interested in and such, so I can try and help you in whatever way I can, InshAllah.

I think I have an English friend applying for uni in the US.

Oh and sorry for derailing your thread. =/

Can't promise myself anything, but am going to try my best to get accepted. There's WAY too much competition for it, unfortunately :S

Thanks, sweetums! Well, the scholarships are general and you get to choose which university you wanna go to. So I'm applying to as many as I can :| Like, it's not mandatory for you to know who you're gonna be working with, but it just gives much more strength to your application. I need some folks in Morocco as well, lol. But I know some people there, so that won't be as hectic.

Oh, and I do know our own Saheehn Sardar Ali, who does exactly what I'm interested in and teaches at Warwick. So I'm in touch with her as well. But it's just, the more contacts I have, the better...

And don't worry if you don't get anyone I'm looking through all these random unis there myself as well and then checking out their professors and e-mailing them. Not too bad a technique, lol.

Yeah? I can definitely help with that. What's she planing to study here?

You know, London is an amazing place to study. You'll be coming in two years, so 2012, that's the year of the Olympics, London's gonna be crazily busy as well as even more expensive. BUT we can still have fun.

                            ..and then Mahzala.

They should do it at similar times, so we I can attend both weddings while I'm in the US, and from there we can all fly to oz, for the next one.

Warwick's a really good uni, and this is actually a great technique. It's good if you stand out, so that they remember you and your name, that way they're more likely to accept your application. So contacting them personally's great.

No idea, I'll ask her. She's doing it coz it doesn't affect what she applies for here, and she likes America - I know, wierd right!

                                Are you applying for 2011?
