Do you believe Hitler has become a larger than life demon..and the truth is he was just another crappy politician telling people exactly what they wanted to hear.

At the time, All the liberals and "progressives" in Europe thought he was a good guy, and Time magazine made him the man of the year. Why?

Outrageous as it sounds some people believe it was never his intention to wage aggressive war, and that this was forced upon him and Germany by international Jewry. The was was a defensive measure to avoid the destruction of Germany.

    OR

He was just an incompetent schmuck that thought millions should die because they weren't like him. a nutjob psychopath that forced a following.

No---I think he had some animal-istic instincts of a lion i.e., manzarey. I think he was from the lion line.

PUSSYcat Toramana, our avatars say alot on the difference between me and you. You dont even have the balls to come out in the open and say you support killings of Muslims, man up instead of beating around the bush and derailing any Muslim unity you come accross.

now then, back to the poll, either answer it or dont, you troll

time magazine is the paradigm of justice now? hitler was neither understood nor exaggerated. he didn't grow up with a grudge against anyone but he developed a strong one after realizing how popular and powerful the idea was.

I am no bird, and no nest ensnares me.

non commercial would cost less if he was in charge himself which he plans on doing. right now it's n herat but soon it will be in qanadahar.

              A bit of both.

He was an extremely charismatic leader. He said what the people wanted to hear & no-one else at the time could do that. He united the people under one cause. To rebuild their country & restore their honour after they had needlessly signed the Versailles treaty.

He was also a bit crazy with the whole 'exterminate the Jews & gypsies' poicy. He went overboard on that playing on the peoples' emotions about the social standing of jews and the thievery of the gypsies. Times were hard for the people & inflation rocketed. People couldn't stand the injustices and those two groups were an easy target. Aryan supremacy was simply a way to channel this frustration.

So I would say that he was a crazy yet effective ruler. His actions were neccesary for Germany to recover and that is why he gained widespread support but the extermination policy just went too far.

To advise others is an easy matter, the difficulty is accepting advice -- since it is bitter for those who follow their
              own inclinations and desires

The reason that the liberals tought that he was a good guy becuase most of them didn't know about the camps and the mass killings, later they realised how he really was and they also saw the camps. He wanted power and wanted to rule Europe and the world. There is nothing misunderstood about him. He was a cruel man, and peopel should be happy, that he didn't succeed in what he was planing to do.

Hitler was surely not a blalanced leader, some ideas he told were perhaps really noble, but look on the way he achieved them. I have no respect for Hitler, but that his immage was used and scapegoated by other powers, that are same way dirty or even more is also nothing new. Also he has been mystified in west and east europe as a kind of demon, but he is nobody special as such hitlers are more than enough even today, and their persuading tactics are much more sophisticated I would say.

Hitler didn't "invent" anti-Semitism. He captured the public mood at the time and made political capital out of it.

He wasn't balanced, but show me a politician who is.

Talking about Hitler doesn´t make any sense if we neglect the socio-political environment of the German Kaiserreich, the 1st World War and it´s negative outcomes of the Treaty of Versaille, the period of the Weimar Republic and the collaboration of the conservative circles under Reichskanzler Von Papen who helped the Nationalsocialists rise to power with the radical circles.

Hitler was a child of his time.
He was no monster or a deceiver.

WW2 was inevitable whether hitler was the leader or someone else. The times of the era create these people. Giving Germany a bad deal after WW1 was going to have reprecussions. They did not make the same mistake twice though. The second time, they rebuilt germany and stationed troops there and did the same with Japan. Changing the times prevents those people from rising again.

Same thing with Afghanistan. Sideling the Taliban and HIG and the whole pashtun population during the 2001 Bonn aggreements was going to have reprecussions. Omar would have been a forgotten man if they had done things more fairly at the beginning.

                            People never learn from history.

                              Second World War was inevitable?
                              Are you sure?

All the obligations of the Treaty of Versaille had been removed since the "Machtergreifung" since 1933. Germany fully established it´s armed forces and air force, it took full controle of western Germany with all it´s steel production capacities from the French and it taken controle of Sudete areas of Tshekoslovakia. GB and France had engaged Germany in a non-violent containement policy and had accepted German political and military power.

Germanie´s assault on Poland and France was unprovoked and politically and militarily unwise.

The idea of "living space in the east" was the problem of Nazi Ideology.
