What is love ?

If you read and understand this ayah you will understand the meaning of love.

زُيِّنَ لِلنَّاسِ حُبُّ الشَّهَوَاتِ مِنَ النِّسَاءِ وَالْبَنِينَ وَالْقَنَاطِيرِ الْمُقَنْطَرَةِ مِنَ الذَّهَبِ وَالْفِضَّةِ وَالْخَيْلِ الْمُسَوَّمَةِ وَالْأَنْعَامِ وَالْحَرْثِ ۗ ذَ*ٰلِكَ مَتَاعُ الْحَيَاةِ الدُّنْيَا ۖ وَاللَّهُ عِنْدَهُ حُسْنُ الْمَآبِ

“It was made attractive to people, the love of things they crave; women, sons, heaped-up heaps of gold and silver, branded horses, cattle and will-tilled land. But that is for the enjoyment of this worldly life, But Allah, with Him is the beautiful homecoming” (Surah Imrân 3:14)

In other words if you love Almighty Allah (saw) you love everything what is right about this wordlly life. So a Muslim cannot say that he does not love.

I think what Quran talks about in this verse is all intentional and all these are in one's control. What do you say about something that is not in your control ?

"To love is to suffer. To avoid suffering one must not love. But then one suffers from not loving. Therefore to love is to suffer, not to love is to suffer. To suffer is to suffer. To be happy is to love. To be happy then is to suffer. But suffering makes one unhappy. Therefore, to be unhappy one must love, or love to suffer, or suffer from too much happiness.

A person who loves you will never tolerate the idea of you suffering let alone be the cause of it. If you suffer then you are not in love because when you are in love, nothing in the world can hurt you.

I do not have empathy.

I disagree with you here because I am strongest by myself.
Others are a weakness sicne they can't understand my thinking and do what they feel is right.

Of course you do have empathy.

Love, especially the fluffy romantic version of it, is way over-rated. The idea sells in the media, but in reality, it is often irrational and subject to change. Once you get to the respect part; fair enough, but I view that in a different category.

Also it is useless pointing to your heart or your head to decide if you love or hate someone. Your guts usually get it right. Trouble is, they do not put pictures of intestines on greetings cards.

Worried becuase I didn't want people to know I killed a bird. It was an accident, by the way, I just got on the roof with the airgun and shot it randomly, the bird seated on the water tank got hit and fell down. There was some blood when it plunged 2 stories down on to the white faux marble floor at my former Islamabad residence. It was a black bird. Then, I called my best and closest friend Eyhab, from Sudan. He told me to burry it.

Sociopathy is the one where you are awkward in social situations, right?
I think that's a rarer conditon.

Psychopathy is where one does not feel deep emotions and can use whatever he can get to get further things he wants, like me.
