  • Similarities/Differences Between Todays Taliban/Afghan Gov vs Muj/Afghan Gov of 80's

What do you guys notice the similarities and diference of the Taliban of vs the Afghan government of Today and the Mujahadeen vs the afghan governmnet of the 80's.

For example what was the goal of the Muj fighters and leaders and what is goal of the Taliban today.
What was the goal of todays afghan governmnet vs the communist government of the 80's.

Also discuss pakistans role back then and pakistans role today.
Hekmatyar was a commie turned Islamist and fought agaisnt his former allies.
Mullah Omar was a muj fighter in the 80's and now is fighting his former allies who are now running the governmnet.

Back then I never heard people criticising pakistan like people are today. Any reasoning behind this. If I wrong on this, please let me know the reasoning. Was pakistan criticized back then as it is today.

    Discuss please..

Some fighters are the same,or their children took over,

Jalaludin Haqqani was a known leader in the afghan jihad, now he is stil out there with the help and unity of all the karlani tribes which are nowadays led by his son.
High achievement always takes place in the framework of high expectation.
