kids in the west are generally spoilt. they go to school for too long and are treated as kids, way too long. i was working at 14 and1/2. and left home at 16 to live with my peers and to be closer to work.
these days many kids are still being babied, into their 20's and more, without ever having to reciprocate by finacially or physically assisting the parents.

I would say rich kids in poor countries like Pakistan are worse.

Their whole lives they don't need to work because their parents have enough money. Servants do everything for them. They don't study becuase they know they'll take over their father's business eventually and they behave how they want because they think they're above the law.

All this I've seen.
