These are Yemeni jews, which means they're Arabs who converted to Judaism prior to Islam.

If Pashtuns were Aryans, why do they look different from other Aryans like the Tajiks and Iranians for instance? The signature Pashtun look looks more Jewish to me than anything.
Thats a bit like asking "if Dutch are Europeans then why they do look different from most Spaniards"?
Or if you go from London to Amsterdam to Copenhagen, you can tell that (overall not individually) the natives of these cities do not look exactly the same but that does not mean they don't have a common origin.
Besides from photos, and Pashtuns that I have known myself or seen personally, it appears that Pashtuns have different kinds of looks and don't all look the same.
Yeah the man was Sephardic from Bukhara. The Sephardics look mostly like Pashtuns but there's also lots of European Jews and they also look like Pashtuns but just whiter.
Adam I am on an iPod but I'll try. And I'm not sending you my friends pics :P
I have seen hundreds of Jews in London (in places like Golders Green and Finchley), and in Toronto and they nearly all look like Europeans (Germans or East Europeans wherever their origins). Few of them if any look like the Jews in your photos.
A better question might be why do some Jews look like some Pashtuns?

Hi there,
Do you have any sources to prove that? From what I know they claim to have immigrated there under the prophet Jeremiah before the destruction of the second temple, hence were a mixture of Judeans from Judea (Cohenites and Levites)
Wahe, Jewish people look different from the average European. They usually have dark hair and eyes and different countenance. That's the main reason why Hitler wanted to purify "Aryan Germany" of them. Just read his Mein Kampf.

I agree that every Pashtun does not look the same but I am Pashtun with a large extended family and also live in an area with a high population of Pashtun immigrants and I can say with safety that there is a common "Pashtun look".
I think it's just over-fascination with the mythical Aryan that's stopping Westernized Pashtuns from acknowledging the Semitic theory. There is much more evidence for it than there is for the Aryan theory. Moreover, there are prophetic Hadith ascertaining a Semitic origin so there is no need for DNA tests.
