Strange you support him suddenly and blame everything on Saudi Arabia.

You do not know the reality. The radicalization was done by Egyptians, Syrians, Iraqis and Yemenis "Islamists" who escaped their country because of persecution because all those 4 countries were military/secular/communist etc.

40 years ago only lived 3 million Saudis, most in Al-Higaz where my family is from and we have never been influenced by Wahhabiyya nor is it stronghold like Najd and other regions so again you are wrong. As a lover of Sufism you probably know this and only provoke which is shame because you seem as knowledgeable person who could use his wisdom more wisely than talk badly about Arabs all the team and Pashtuns also. Instead of criticizing as is your hobby of everything Arab and Pashtun do something about it and change for better.

Talk is cheap. Especially when all your knowledge comes from Western media (I am talking about Soldat-Communist here since he do not speek Arabic, is not an Arab and do not know about our culture nor has he ever visited an Arab country)

He is saying the same story about fire and women and other nonsense which is not true.

Serious discussion yes, discussion with racism, propaganda and nonsense no.

Firstly let's clarify one thing; Saudi Arabia is not a race, it is a nationality, I am sure you know this but to cry racism in such a context is faulty.

I don't hate Arabs at all, my mother is Arab and thus my entire maternal family are Arab. What I have a problem with is the Ignorant Mentality amongst Arabs; especially the one that pervades in Saudia Arabia and to a lesser degree other Arab countries. Similarly I'm against the mentality that pervades Pashtuns that somehow they're sinless and without faults, if you observe many Pashtuns here believe that there have never been Pashtuns who raped women or enslaved people. Which is ridiculous and historically false. Arabs too have a disgusting mentality that women have little or no place in society and that if she's not covered she deserves to be a victim of rape and abuse. This is disgusting. Criticism is necessary; because without criticism people will never address problems. Arabs It is only by criticizing that people realize that a problem is a problem. Criticism is just acknowledging reality as it is.

For example you're denying that Saudi women died because the Mutawaa prevented them a chance to escape the building because they weren't veiled; This is TRUTH, and it was even reported by Al-Madinah Newspaper in Saudia!!!

The fact you'll even deny such a thing only demonstrates precisely the problem of what happens when people do not hear criticism; they create a false reality which they avoid and deny any responsibility!

When you say things like "since you're a Sufi lover" this is precisely Wahhabi influence; Because if you know anything about the history of Hijaz, Sufism was centered around this regin until the Saudis started to push Wahhabism and suppress Sufi practices. I am not a "Sufi Lover" per say; but I support Sufism because it gives people hope and builds peoples sense of love and respect for each other. How many Sufis do you see suicide bombing and killing innocent civilians? Maybe they have some questionable practices; but God will handle them. At least they respect the rights of others. So it is not "Sufi loving"; but rather opposing the corruption and immoral acts of Wahhabis which is why I support Sufis.

The Hijaz has a deep history and connection with Sufism; and the fact you have an animosity with Sufis means that either you're influenced by Wahhabism and forgot your heritage or you're not actually a Hijazi.

And no, the extremists didn't come from "Yemen, Egypt, and Iraqis"; They came from Saudis and spread to these countries. For example in Egypt, Ikhwans exiled from Egypt were given refuge in Saudi Arabia; while in Saudia they were taught Wahhabist ideology and then went back to Egypt and promoted it with Saudi Assistance and Money. Likewise with Iraq and Yemen. No one ever heard of Suicide attacks in Yemen until yemenis who were raised in Saudi or learned from Saudi funded Shaikhs taught them about it. Now they're killing their own Yemeni brothers. Blame is due where it is due.

And yes I agree with Soldat on this issue; Modern Saudi Arabia is a creation of the British; the British helped the Saud family acquire power and rebel against the Khilafah. This is documented by even Saudi Historians. Read the book " Mudun Al Milh" by Abdul Rahman Munif; it describes the entire rise of the Saudis and their help by the British to fight the Khilafah.

even Islamists agree that Saudi rabia must be abolished So just because Soldat's a communist doesn't mean that everything he says is wrong. If Soldat said the sky is blue does that mean it's no longer blue because he's a communist?

no poser , means you're a pretender. And you don't make sense; saying you're not a Pashtun means being racist? I never said I hated your race.

My great-grandfather who Alhamdulillah is still in good health is 2 years older than Saudi Arabia itself..So no, it is not a race nobody claimed so. Nor is Yemeni, Iraqi, Egyptian, Omani etc. a race but only nationality.

You're acting as if decrying Saudi Arabia means decrying Arabs in genera.

So when you criticize and talk badly about Saudi Arabia (which Al-Higaz is a part of) I will defend it, not because I like the current regime but because I associate with my ancestors who lived their and myself who live their, have family, friends and affection for land, people.
Then you're blinded by false pride.

And since all LOCAL Saudi Arabians are Arabs and since Soldat-Communist is not calling foreign workers (including his own Pashtun) for all the names he calls Saudis (he refers here to Arabs) I can easily say that he is a racist. And both you and I know that he is Anti-Arab and Anti-Islam so I do not know who you are trying to foul.

That's ridiculous logic however, All Saudis maybe Arabs but not all Arabs are Saudis; thus even if Soldat was specifically targeting all Arabs of Saudi Arabia, he wouldn't be decrying Arabs as an ethnicity. Your attempt at trying to portray it as racism is a rather desperate tactic of exploiting emotional blackmail.

If you are Pashtun from father and ARab from mother you would not criticize and dishonour your own cultures so often as you do.
Yes you should; in fact that's EXACTLY the reason why you should criticize; you have to be honest and address problems that are in your society or else the society will fail. Yemen is failing because we allowed Saudis to start telling us how to interpret our religion. Pashtuns are failing because they're clung to customs that are destroying their society. It's time to speak out.

The most positive thing you could say about Yemen was that they were simple people who loved music and dance....Is that all?
Prophet Muhammd(saw) once claimed that "religion is in Yemen" so that could be positive right?

About Pashtuns (since your father is Pashto your niqaab is Pashtun) I have not heard anything of recent while others of your brothers defend it proudly from falsehood.

My problem is not that people criticize when it is deserved it should happen but when it is based on lies, simplification, western propaganda and nonsense I react. Can I be blamed for this?
Well that's fair; even when I hear someone like Pat Condell talking on youtube against Saudi Arabia while his country were partly responsible for why Saudi Arabia exists today I find it despicable.

But when you say that women in Saudia didn't die in a fire because the Mutawaa pushed them back for not having their veils on; this is dishonest, I remember reading the story in Arab News, Al-Aswat. and many other news sources, All corroborating it.
I said "lover of sufism" not negative way.
Well then I apologize; I am not saying Sufi are perfect or that everything they teach is correct; but when you compare it to some of the things radicals do, it is a small issue.
And who have completely misunderstood my comment.
                      Maybe I did, I'll concede.

I said that you make no sense when you deem all Saudis wahhabist because you know very well that Al-Higaz (the region my family is from, my tribes and my wife) has it own distinctive culture and rich tradition of sufism. But of course it is easier to say that all Saudis are wahhabist when you have no knowledge about the regions in Saudi Arabia, their history and traditions, their dialect, their tribes, their Islamic traditions etc.
Fair enough I am aware of the distinctions between Hijaziyeen and Najdeen.

By Saudis you mean some tribes of Najd right? If not you have no idea what you are talking about.
                      Yes and their associates.

The Ikhwan you talk about where mostly bedouins from Najdi tribes, not from Hijaz where the majority of all Saudis always lived and still do to this day.
What I was referring to is that the Ikhwan of Egypt originally were much more balanced; but were against decadence of King Farouk, so they were joined with Gamal Abdel Nasser; then Gamal Abdel Nasser betrayed them and began persecuting them. They went to Saudi Arabia and started learning from Wahhabi Shaikhs, and abandoned the Ikhwani theories and adopted Wahhabist interpretations.

Nearly all of the foreign ulama were so called "Islamist" (Meaning people who did not agree with al-Nasir, Hafiz al-Asad, Saddam Hussein and the communist regimes in Yemen) who taught during the 70's and greatly influenced the Saudi youth, some in wrong ways I agree.
See that's all I want people to admit there are some problems in our cultiures and address these problems. I believe if we do that we can work together in tackling these problems and put and end to it for the mutual betterment of everyone.

Most local Saudis 40 years ago (let us remember that at that time there was only 4 million local Saudis and most lived not in cities but as nomads/bedouins/farmers in remote areas or in cities in Hijaz such as the holy cities of Makkah and Madinah) did not have great Ummah ambitions or knew much about outside world, eve the Arab world as a whole but only wanted more power for their tribes and a free Arab world from colonialists.
Yes this is true; at one time Pashtuns were mainly nomads; even now about 30% of Pashtuns are nomads. That's why I feel there is a great deal of parallel between Arabs and Pashtuns; maybe not genetically but in terms of cultural habits and practices.

The thinking came from outsiders, mostly from Al-Azhar al-Sarif in Cairo and Jami'at Baghdad‎. Surprisingly both also are the biggest in the Arab world.
Yes very true actually because much of the Modern Global Khilafa movement is rooted in the work of Shaikh Muhammad 'Abdu and Sayyid Jamaluddin Al-Afghani

I already told you before that it is easy to blame all bad to Saudis when the truth is that other Arabs are to blame as much.

I don't blame all Saudis; I have close friends from Sharqiyah who talk about the oppression they face everyday

I don't know why you start to talk about Al-Saud when I am strong opponent of them and so are all the so-called Islamists who speak of. Actually people of your vision prefer the Al-Saud rather than Ikhwan and let us say Al-Qaeda in Iraq or Yemen.
Well honestly I don't prefer either vision; I am a more moderate individual; I'm not against Shari'ah; but you know we're so quick to use violence against others, and we say "oh yes this is Shari'ah we must do it" but Nabi(saw) once said "if you can find any excuse not to punish with hadd, you should do it". I am not saying we should change Islam or its laws, but that we should emphasize the more merciful and compassionate side of Islam first and that is lacking these days. It was lacking during the Taliban.

That's it is a creaton of the British is a bit of a exagerration because it was mostly conquered (unfortunately) by tribes allied to Al-Saud who established the kingdom with help from British (like in Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain and UAE).
Yes that's what I was referring to. I think of the citizens of Saudi Arabia, established a new constitution and determined for themselves what they want. That would be best. I may have said some harsher things before; but this is a much more valid approach honestly.

This is correct but still whether it is called Saudi Arabia, Kingdom of Hijaz, Emirate of Jabal Shammar (covered todays Najd and Southern Iraq) does not matter since the same people lived at that time and now.
Indeed, just to clarify if I haven't I believe the demarcation of Modern Muslimi inhabited lands are all wrong, so it is not just in the Middle east, many Afghans won't admit the Modern Afghanistan was carved by the British and Russians. It doesn't matter, we shouldn't be ethno-centric anyways.

Let me give you an example from Yemen. When your grandfather was little Yemen was an Emirate. When your Father was born it became divided in South Yemen and North Yemen. 1 of them was communist (only Arab country ever to be communist) and today it is called Yemen. In 100 years it might not exist as we know it today.
                      Very true

BUT IT IS STILL THE SAME LOCAL PEOPLES WHO LIVE THERE AND THE SAME TRIBES. The same is the case in Saudi Arabia, Oman, Iraq, Jordan, rest of Gulf etc. no matter what the area/country is called now.

I am tired and this reply was maybe confusing and I did not say all I wish to but this was short and qucik reply.

Fair enough, you spoke well and logically. well done.

                        Soldat - Salaam.

What of the hundreds of thousands of Pashtuns who live and work in the Gulf and send remittances back to feed their families?

I will be the first to admit that Pashtuns don't occupy the highest levels in the highly stratified Gulf society, so there are things I would push to change, but it is also true to say that many Pashtuns who have worked in the Gulf have been able to improve the lives of their families back home.

In simple economic terms, people need jobs and until we become a more educated people, Pashtuns will have a constant flow of people to meet the high demands for labour in the Gulf. The result is many villagers are clamouring to get a job in the Gulf to be able to build a house or buy a tractor etc.

For the masses, hating or loving Saudi has little to do with how they are expected to meet their own responsibilities.

There are people today who think that admitting God’s absolute greatness decreases the value and importance of humans in the creation, as if God and mankind are rivals competing in greatness and power. Meanwhile I feel that whenever our perception of God’s greatness increases, with it we become greater, because we are the creation of a great God.

Yeah, Soldat you should run for Parliament in the UK or EU and convince the West to boycott oil from the Muslim world.

If the Muslim oil producing countries cut of oil flow to the West, the West will return to the stone ages as Russia and other oil producing countries would hike up their oil prices, resulting in great inequality in the West as well as civil strife.

Nearly every single thing that you can think of is either directly or indirectly linked to oil. Even the electricity you use or the gas needed to heat your home.

Please lead the way for the "civilized world" in boycotting OIL from the Middle East.

It would be a great step towards peace. You may get a noble peace prize.
