These gatherings are good social events but as Levanaye said, it shouldn't be used to further the political agenda of the Pakistani state which has often used religion as tool for its own advantage. Whenever there is pashtun nationalistic fervour they will infuse some religion and "sab musalman bhai bhai" to divert the energy and focus of the pashtun masses. This game has been played for far too long, we better wake up before its too late.

I don't have a problem with religious gatherings in general and its a good way to meet new like minded people and address issue and galvanize the masses.

Brother, unfortunately none of the guys know about the ideology of Tablighi jamaat, this is a non political jamaat. It is not just in Pakistan. It is all over the world. The bigger Ijtimaas are held in India and Bangladesh. Pakistan comes third. Don't make it a Pashtun issue lol.
This is a purely religious and non political only preaching jamaat which has brought Millions of people to the right path.
Most of their members are well educated and businessmen alhamdulillah.
