  • Afghanistan: Native Dari peoples and how they view Pashtuns

    1) What’s the actual common view that Uzbeks, Tajiks etc have of Pashtuns in Afghanistan

    2) How does a country succeed and move forward without mixing with each other (mixing as in intermingling, marrying etc)

^And you ask this question on Pashtun forum where almost no tajik or uzbeks are around
-_-. It would help if you ask this question on tajik forums or something.

^ I mean i cant really understand how a country can be called one when there is such a strong barrier between the people.

as time passed these cultures have merged with eachother thus no we have a multicultural society where pashtun culture is the most influencial.
So all this pashtun patriotism is to go down the drain, no? this mentality is beneficial for people in Afghanistan, were do the 30 million Pashtuns from east of the border fit in? merge with Tajiks,Uzbeks etc?.

This is the problem i see from many nationalistic Afghan-Pashtuns, they are angry at Pashtuns that have ties with Pakistan but at the same time offer no alternative apart from intermingling and watering down Pashtun values to suit the cause for Afghanistan.

Depends what kind of person he is.
If he is religious then he thinks of pashtuns as his brothers in religion and countrymen and admiration for their fights and resistance against kufars. They will have a bad view of liberal pashtuns like Asfandyar wali and Najibullah Ahmadzai.

If they are liberal then they would despise Taliban types and conservative pashtuns but get along with liberal pashtuns who think like them.

The common folk have nothing against each other and judge each other by personality and character and not ethnicities. They consider pashtuns their countrymen and get along just fine.

Some farsiwan don't consider pashtuns from Pakhtunkhwa as Pashtuns but refer to them as Pathan, basically non Afghan. Some consider pashtuns from pakhtunkhwa as fellow Afghans as long as they are loyal to Afghanistan.

Generally a farsiwan would expect to speak in farsi to a pashtun as farsi has been the language of empires and lingua franca from sub continent to middle east. Now a days the domination of farsi has gone down because of several factors and regional languages are being encouraged by Afghan Education ministry.

              2) How does a country succeed and move forward without mixing with each other (mixing as in intermingling, marrying etc)
People do mix where there is contact for example in Kabul and the border areas where ethnicities are in close proximity such as laghman, Nuristan and so on. The same happens with pastuns in pakhtunkhwa some of whom have become hindkowals and some have become seraiki and punjabi speakers such the Niazis in Mianwali and so on. What ever culture and language is dominant in the area will be adopted by the mixed family with some exceptions.

Each ethnicity lives in their own dominant area except pashtuns who are found almost all over Afghansitan due to recent migration. As long as people work for the common good of all people in the country and respect each other, I don't see why they wouldn't move forward and advance.

How can someone answer a weird question?

                What are "Dari people"?

It´s a dialect of Persian and spoken by parts of the Afghan population. But it doesn´t define one´s ethnicity. There are many Usbeks, Nuristanis, Pamiris and Pashtuns who have adopted Dari as their first language but don´t recognize themselves als Tajiks, Persians etc.
                The only constant is change.

all are poor and screwed by the war .

the only racism i have ever seen was only by so called educated people and in the west .

you know ,after all this years you can actually talk alot of racism , but no one actually belives it , but in the war horrible things happend ,and people were forced to take sides ...

at the height of that forum, there was only like 5 people who posted lol now its 95% russian spam for penis enlargement pills.

There are people today who think that admitting God’s absolute greatness decreases the value and importance of humans in the creation, as if God and mankind are rivals competing in greatness and power. Meanwhile I feel that whenever our perception of God’s greatness increases, with it we become greater, because we are the creation of a great God.
