Only becuase Pashtuns tend to be lighter skinned than Punjabis.

It proves not all Punjabis have hatred to the Pashtun. Don't know why some of us are consumed by racism for them then.

Its the Pashtuns reputation as tough-ass people. In Pakistan there is an impression that all Pashtuns are the great sword of Pakistan-the upholders of the Pakistani union... each single Pashtun a patriot who would die for his country. That impression is wrong.

It is mainly the Yusafzais from Swat and Peshawar/Mardan/Charsadda, etc. that are the most patriotic "Pakistani" Pashtuns. Ironically, they are also among the the least armed and practically non-violent tribes.

You totally misunderstood my post then; they do have a great deal of animosity towards Pashtuns but it isnt because they look down at Pashtuns; but envy Pashtuns due the legacy of Pashtun history and having been historically subjugated by pashtuns; Punjabi males feel emasculated and reduced to effeminacy by Pashtuns.

More than Just that ......history the fact that they were subjugated by Pashtun rulers; many things factor into their psyche. This whole modern menality and perception of Pashtuns as being "sweepers' and toilet cleaners as Manzareh put it is the Punjabi society's attempt at gloating over how the "Once mighty Pashtun" has fallen for grace; they're joyed as it makes them feel redeemed for their historical submissiveness

Pashtuns may be portrayed as illiterate, backward, brutish barbarians but they are never considered "sweepers". That position is reserved for Punjabi Christians in Pakistani society.

Pakistani Punjabis eat tons of meat; so I doubt that is the case. They're farmer people where as Pashtuns are mountain people and nomads; so they're heartier, tougher.

They eat only chicken and very little "mutton", but almost no beef at all.

Actually Pashtuns, except in urban areas, don't eat much meat, because they have to depend on animals for work and such.

Punjabis eat all that Mughlai food; which is all meat, they eat tons of Goat (Kachar).

"Punjabis" in Islamabad/Rawalpindi eat mostly chicken and all famous meat dishes, including lasagna, have a chicken variant that is much more popular."Mutton" means goat in Pakistan. Sheep/lamb are only eaten by "tribal" Pashtuns and Baluch.

Frankly most Punjabis do not really care about all that and this is not their thinking. At least the more religious Punjabis I've met think of Pashtuns as the sword of Islam gloating over how Pashtuns can never be subjugated. lol.

Eh how bout Afridi's. Afridis can get really angry if you say anything about Pakistan. I heard about an Afridi slapping an Indian in dubai for a percieved insult to Pakistan.

The Afridis of Kohat and Darra can be patriotic Pakistanis at times, but this sentiment is quite weak amongst the Khyber ones.

Having never been to your ancestral land, you are not very educted about these matters.
