  • Questions for someone fromn South Waziristan

I have been looking for an Mahsud or a Pashtun from South Waziristan to answer some important questions for my book. Since I have never been to South Waziristan my knowledge on the topic, I must say is very limited.

    1) Are Sararogha and Kaniguram also firmly under the control of militants? I guess they are but would you know when militants exactly came?

    2) Which year exactly did the militants come to power in Ladha? When did Ladha start being controlled by Hakeemullah?

    3) Is Ladha classified more as a town or as a village?

    4) Can Girls below 10 years old go to fetch firewood or water from a stream?

    5) Did rah e nijat manage to flush out militants from Ladha at all or do you believe it was eyewash. I mean the news outlets said many militants were killed. Do you think at least some of that was true?

    6) I need details on the fall of Ladha fort. I also need information on how it looks and who it is controlled by. Is it still being controlled by Taliban after Rah E Nijat?

    7) Distance between Ladha and Makeen? Ladha and Mingora? If you know how long a drive it is from the place to each of these towns.

I have asked these questions of some people through E-mail but I didn't get a response as people don't really know if they should trust me or not or why I am asking these questions. Again I am writing a book. The central character is from Ladha.

I am a Kharoti Pashtun from Paktika and I have relatives in S. Waziristan.
I also visited in Wana back in 1999-2000.

Since you work for the Devil, I won't tell you what you want to know.

However, I will tell you that "rah e nijat" was successful in killing my best friend, Zmarak and his family.

I apologize for the death of your best freind... if he was not a militant (If he was its war-sorry but still we should have given peace a chance and tried to deal with things... we are in the wrong war... just don't believe blowing things up and killing our own people is the reply). I heard the operation caused civilian causalities.

Wroar... be a little more tolerant.

But its no problem. I am contacting new sources constantly... many who are from south waziristan... if one fails the other will work. I find the information I need one way or the other. I used to be a journalist.

Thank you for your answers... I would still like a Mahsud to answer in detail... but you told me the year Ladha came under Baitullah, then Hakimullah's control... thanx for that.

But I can't help but notice you Taliban people are so much like CIA agents. I mean those years in the 1980's when the CIA taught you to blow up cars full of russians and plant bombs, assassinate women and children just so that the pathetic Americans could see a Soviet defeat. It actually shows...

          What do we do?
          Nothing.

          What will you do?
          Top secret.

          Whats your name?
          None of your business.

You're like the guys in Hollywood movies. The super spy movies. Ever watch Taken, Bourne Trilogy, the bond movies?

But I guess we got off on the wrong foot. You have the right to have your views no matter how intolerant they may be... I have no right to judge anyone but I will say its true that I was conditioned to hate militants...

              Bourne Trilogy,

It was not Baitullah Mehsud, but the leader of the prisoners Abdullah Mehsud (rahimahullah) who just returned from Guantanamo Prison just to the fields of Resistance.

Abdullah Meshud(rah) and Hakimullah Mehsud in the release the Revenge for Abdullah Meshud(rah).

It is a lie that people or the noble warriors of Afghanistan who fought the soviets were trained by CIA or worked for the CIA all together, yes there were factions working close with CIA and US but most of the groups relied on the donations of the local muslims from around the world.

An example is Jalaludin Haqqani (hz) his men during the soviets era said, verily the US and its allies are and will be our enemies like the soviets and there are no difference between them.

It is recorded the video tape you can find it,it was released by Manba Al Jihad (islamic emirate of afghanistans media wing for east) The caravan of warriors 5 i think.

But wasn't Baitullah the leader of the TTP? Before Hakimullah?

And let me guess... Baitullah distrusted Abdullah so he got him killed by sending him on a suicide mission. This is why Abdullah Mahsud remnants have distanced themselves from Hakimullah's men...

After Nek Muhammad's death, Abdullah Mehsud and Baitullah Mehsud both vied for dominance of the Pakistani Taliban. When Abdullah died in a raid by Pakistani security forces and later his successor perished in a bomb explosion, Qari Zain and other members of Abdullah's faction suspected that Baitullah played a role in the attacks. The rivalry continued after Zainuddin obtained leadership of Abdullah's group.[5]

This is a lie, members of some laskhars in tank are supported by the pakistani army and the ISI and they claim to be fighters of the former hero Abdullah mehsud (rah) but these are just lies and false flag operations, this is why Qari Zainudin was successful killed in an assassination.

But Abdullah mehsud, hakimullah mehsud and Baitullah mehsud shared a great friendship and fought for the same cause.

After returning from Guantanamo Abdullah meshud became the leader of all the tribal muslim fighters in Khyber Pakhtunkwa and Baitullah and Hakimullah were both his commanders.

You have just become one of my sources for my articles on militancy and structure of the TTP. For my next article on militancy I will contact you if I have any questions for the militants perspective. You seem to be pretty chum-chum with these people...

Of course my view about them hasn't changed. They are terrorists of course.

I have an ulcer and am sitting at home sick now. But I would give you a number to call to register a case against the army. You may get compensation. Give me a week and let me find out for you what steps you should take. Civilians killed by the army in the war are one of the best ways to lose the war and increase support for the Taliban.

The only problem is getting the soldiers responsible for the killing of innocents punished. It almost never happens. The army would set a better precedent if it had let wrong-doers in it be punished.
