The investigations being done were being done by Afghans, and Yalda Hakim, one of your favorite New Anchors was being sent there but couldn't investigate because of the mines. The reason we know that this incident happened is through this VERY type of investigation. Why are the Taliban preventing the investigation? We know why the Americans are doing it, clearly something to hide. But what is the Taliban motive?

there is no need for pbs to investigate the area,it is up to the professionals.

you wouldnt let a reporter come to crime scene and investigate.

The reason you know is because the afghan relatives and families AFTER the Government reports TO the Media allowed the Media to interview the families. Otherwise you'd never have heard a word from the relatives. It would forever be some blurb on El-Emarah who claims they shot down 20 chinooks with a pellet gun (hyperbole obviously). Yalda Hakim did ask the victims and then she went to the crime scene to see what investigators were finding. ok edited video footage where it shows different clips of helicopters going down isn't proof because when you edit something you can easily insert footage, which are totally unrelated, and it is clear that this is the case here, since the camera lense and video quality changes dramatically between shots.

It doesn't have to do with western arrogance; but the fact that there's a lack of evidence of Taliban ever shooting down more than maybe 2 Chinooks. And if the western media are "covering up" all the chinook crashes, why would they admit to those two, especially the high profile Navy Seals crash. Don't tell me, because it would have leaked out anyways? Well the Taliban claim they shoot down chinooks all the time, so if they're "leaking stuff out" then it would already have been known. The fact is your narrative is inconsistent because if those more than 2 chinook crashes due to enemy fire occurred, then we'd see more evidence of it from the Taliban side, but all we see is edited videos.

Now back to the issue of the family; yes the family spoke about it, but it was the Government that ushered them to the Karzai meeting to explain their side so they can have the investigation, they did not just come to Karzai on their own accord and this was AFTER the media and press covered their story
