Just started learning Japanese. Let's see how far I get. I can already write & recognise all the vowels in hiragana

Thanks I guess.
It's not that I particularly like exotic languages but rather it's just something constructive to do as a long-term project.
A hobby/challenge of sorts..something to broaden my horizons.

Perhaps I may find some sort of job in Japan in the future...but mainly I want to prove to myself that I am capable of self-teaching myself a language other than my mother tongue or English (also it doesn't hurt to be able to watch anime & read various Japanese novels without translations).

I did French for 3 years & German for 4 in high school but I have forgotten 97% of everything I learned since I never used them outside the classroom. Other than that, I don't know any language other than English & Pashto (and a few swear words in Farsi).

I gotta move onto to share my new written album to my 20 Facebook friends. My best work yet, unappreciated again.

And if you add all my bars I did on here it would combine into atleast 4 albums in two years. Just saying.... Talented, perhaps.

Got alil G-checked tonight by a 17 year old by the gas station. As was walking inside and he was hanging outside the door and was grilling me hard. I grilled back then looked away, but he was still grilling me and I grilled him back.

He said an unfriendly "what's up" and I replied back with a sup, and went inside.

I walk outside and he was still grilling me and asked me some question, but I just walked past him and said "I'm good"

I'm too old to fight for grilling, even though, I was armed with a pocket knife and I'm sure he had one too, or perhaps a gun. I saved myself from a fight and a weekend in jail, which was a very street smart thing to do, but i got considered "checked" it's complicated. He's looking for street cred and doesn't care if he goes to jail for a few days. I don't care anymore about that stuff anymore, I just rap about it now from experience.

I wanna get out of NY. But that life will accompany me anywhere I go

Instead of pitying me for not being brought up in Kabul, you could instead try to learn the other national language of your home country.

So irritating how these guys look down on you because you only speak Pashto & English. Being brought up in the West has nothing to do with it. I simply have never needed to learn Farsi but you, who lived there for half your life, should at least be able to put together a sentence or two of Pashto. My Farsi is better than your Pashto and that's infinitely more shameful. Self-righteous dumbass.


Regrettably I didn't say any of that to the guy because I was tired, hungry & sleepy and wasn't in the mood to talk extensively at the end of my work day.

A few days ago marked my 2 year anniversary as a moderator.

Time flies by. It doesn't feel like 2 years passed. I still remember being nervous about being accepted as a moderator given that I had only been a member for a couple of months hah.
