Your pet does not understand you.
You cannot connect with them on any deep or meaningful level.
The only reason you have a pet is because you find interacting with other human beings too complicated or stressful.
You may "love" your pet, but the "love" you think your pet has for you is shallow and rooted in survival instinct.
